Newest Mummer: Nish from Merasheen 2012
The latest mummer is Nish from Merasheen, 2012. He is about to knock on the neighbor's door and ask "Any mummers 'lowed in?" (disguising his voice by breathing in as he speaks). He carries a lantern to light the way, wears a Nfld Potato Co. sack over his head, keeps it in place with a pair of earmuffs. On his feet he wears "pissquicks," cut-down rubber boots, very popular among fishermen.
